  11. The world mourned when  the   Singer/songwriter  Freddie  Mercury died from
  12. AIDS late in 1992.  Freddie Mercury was a  brilliant  front man with Queen,
  13. who were also a great band  both  in  their  recordings and as a live stage
  14. act.  Queen were resonsible for the adventerous 'Bohemian  Rhapsody'  which
  15. originally stayed in the top 100  for  six  months  on  its  first  release
  16. and re-appeared as a double single  after Freddie's death, to reach  number
  17. ONE  for  the second time - the only  other  single ever to do so, was John
  18. Lennon's 'Imagine'!

  20. I was fortunate to witness Queen's live stage  show on tour in Leeds during
  21. the early 1980's and Freddie  Mercury  was  electric.   He would travel all
  22. around the available stage, including  the  scaffolding  around  the  stage
  23. at  the Leeds football  ground.   Queen,  successfully  managed  to  please
  24. and entertain a wide spectrum  of  age  groups  with their brand of stylish
  25. Operatic/Rock/Pop, but  Queen  were  also  capable  of   producing  lyrical
  26. ballads  which  Freddie would sing  so  sweetly  in his distinctive lyrical
  27. voice.  'Save  Me' is a fine example  of  this haunting ballad style and it
  28. appears  an  early  cry for  help  from  Freddie,  who  must have known for
  29. years that he was  slowly dying.   You  contributed  a  body of work to the
  30. popular  song   genre   that   you   will   go   down   in  history Freddie
  31. Mercury, and this Music-X and MIDI   version   is  simply a tribute to that
  32. magic
  33. that you brought with all the  music   and   videos that you and Queen made
  34. during your career.  Freddie, this one's for you...
